Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 6  Occupational Therapist to work within our established Core therapy  team in the Matlock area for a fixed term of 1 year.

The Core therapy  service provides timely and appropriate care to our patients within our local community. 

This is within a 2 week time frame but our Core team also support our Rapid Response team  to provide assessments and equipment for patients with urgent needs when required.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work alongside therapists,  nurses and admin staff to ensure all referrals into the Integrated Community Service  are clinically triaged and an appropriate and timely response provided.

The post will involve patient-facing visits in the community and responsibility of your own caseload of patients.

The post will involve supporting junior staff and assistants and line management responsibilities for them, ensuring high standards of evidence-based clinical care,

During the pandemic response we have led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.
